Pretty & Polished BCA Duo

This month I’ve worn several green polishes for depression awareness month, but I have yet to show a mani for breast cancer awareness month. I bought this breast cancer awareness duo from indie maker Pretty & Polished about two weeks ago, and I just got it in the mail late last week.

This is a really awesome set for breast cancer awareness month, not to mention that Chelsea Marie, the person behind Pretty & Polished, donates a portion from each set to a local cancer organization in her community that she’s had personal experience with.

You Are Beautiful is a shimmery cotton candy pink. It took 3 coats to get this to full opacity, but it dried fairly quickly so I didn’t mind the extra coats. It has a nice pale pink/silver shimmer, and it’s a tad frosty, but not in a bad way. This is a very girly colour and very fun to wear. Also, I found it was quite flattering on me, it made me look like I had a tan!

BCA is the glitter topper of the set. The glitter is not very dense so you probably wouldn’t want to wear this on its own, it is better to layer it. This complements You Are Beautiful perfectly. It has pale pink hex glitter and tiny purple glitter. I decided to use it to do a reverse glitter gradient working up from the base of my nails. Since the polish was not densely packed it was a bit tricky, but I was able to get it to work.

The BCA duo is available until the end of October. A full set is $20 and a mini set is $10. They are available from the Pretty & Polished store on Etsy
